LEARNING OUTCOMES

Prerequisite: Must provide written proof that a two-day Introduction to FEES course has been completed.

1. Under supervision, participants will be able to perform safe normal passes with an endoscope on participants (each other).

2. Participants will be able to explain the risks, indications, and contraindications of the Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) procedure.

3. Participants will describe a minimum of two ASHA guidelines for Speech Language Pathologists when performing a FEES procedure.
